What is a rotary drum screen?

A rotary drum screen, also known as a rotary sifter, is an essential piece of equipment in municipal and industrial water treatment processes. It is the second pre-treatment process used in wastewater treatment plants after screening. The rotary drum screen filter is generally placed upstream of the system, at the discharge of the pumping station that collects the wastewater.

The rotary drum screen is the best solution for the fine treatment of industrial and domestic wastewater treatment. It is one of the most demanded types of equipment for the mechanical treatment of wastewater due to its high efficiency. The screen can remove even complex fibrous impurities such as wool and hair from drains, making it an indispensable solution for small and medium-capacity wastewater treatment plants.
